Using .htaccess to redirect Chinese visitors to another url

Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to use my .htaccess file to redirect chinese speaking visitors to a different version of my website?

I’m currently doing this with php on each page but I feel .htaccess is a more global solution is possible.

If it is possible can someone please share some appropriate code or point me to a relevant resource?
