Turning off apache logging of a page

Is there a way to turn the logging of a particular page off with .htaccess?

Hi,

I have a page that is constantly checked for updates, the only thing is, it appears in my log file, getting 100's of 'hits'.

Is there any way that I can stop apache logging the hits?

I was hoping this could be done with a .htaccess file,

Not that I know of. You can do this if you have access to the server configuration in httpd.conf, though.
