Hello,

I had Apache installed and wanted to uninstall it. I accidentally deleted (doh) my "Server" directory with Apache, PHP and MySQL in it (Windows XP development machine). But now, I want to install Apache again. When I open the MSI installer, I only have two options -- Repair and Uninstall. Both give me this error:

Internal Error 2753. F98246_Apache.exe

The same error is given when I try uninstalling (so I can install it again) via the Add or Remove Programs utility. I have tried downloading the ZIP package for Windows and extracting this to the Server\Apache2\ directory, but I still get the error.

I'm not really sure what I was thinking when I deleted the folder. But now, I need Apache installed and it won't let me. If I can't install, uninstall or repair, how can I get Apache back into a workable state (or completely removed so I can reinstall it)? Help would be greatly appreciated,

Technel

PS: Yes, I have done a lot of research. I haven't found anything relevant.

If you are a bit familiar with editing the registry, you might search it for all "Apache Group" entries and remove them.

Mind you : do back up your registry first and make a system repair point first.
