Is it possible to get mod_auth_mysql running on Windows?

Anyone got any experience getting Apache 2 (running on Windows) to authenticate against a MySQL 4 database? There's a mod_auth_mysql project on SourceForge, but I can't get it to work on Windows - only on Unix...
