flastmod problem in time format

Basically I'm having a problem with file last modified command in apache since the clocks have gone back (GMT).

I have a image path that looks for a dated file to apply #flastmod to an image link. The file it looks for is uploaded the night before and although the file goes live say on the 29th the image path is for some reason looking for an image dated the 30th which won't arrive on the server until 11:45pm that night :Q. So todays live image link is looking for yesturdays image.

I have tried a range of time formats and time zones but so far am having no luck in getting it to work properly.

Can anyone offer some advice with this.
