Hello and thanks in advance:

mod_rewrite is on, so what syntax do I have to add in the htaccess file to have the directory pages URL rewritten to be search engine friendly?

Thanks to you all for your time.

I suggest you read the mod_rewrite URL guide and the documentation on RewriteRule and RewriteConde.

Thanks. Do you have any suggestion? Any URL that explains that is simple terms?

first off, you have to explain what kind of links do you have and what do you want to achieve. It largely depends on your needs, rather than just being search-engine friendly

These two documents should be all you need:
mod_rewrite [httpd.apache.org]
Regular expressions [etext.lib.virginia.edu]

Thanks. mod_rewrite is already activated. All I need to know is:

Do I need to edit my htaccess file in order for it to work with this php written directory I am going to install?

Sorry if I was not too clear in my previous posting, I do not want to waste anyone's time...

Thanks guys...

Well, I don't understand the question. Could you please maybe rephrase it?
