I've done a search and nothing seems to answer this exact question.
I have 240 domains on my own dedicated server as well as a full set of individual IPs - one for each. I have one of my domains that is doing extremely well in Google and plan to keep it that way, but I have about 30 domains that I would like to "point" to this domain. I do not want to 301 them, as they will not have many incoming links(mostly type ins and mispellings) I would like to avoid using a 301 to redirect to the main site, and have each of those other domains actually come up in the browser as a mirror including subdirectories. From what I have read here I believe there is something you can set up on the server side that will do this aliasing?
Each of the domains will have a robots.txt and I want to also make sure that this will not harm the main site (I have loads of good links and positioning) although the others I have seen doing this don't seem to get any sort of penalty as they are not trying to get Google PR or build big incoming links so this doesn't seem to be a big issue.
Any ideas?
