Rewriting subdomain to Primary

is it possible?

Say I have a subdomain test.example.com

Can I use RewriteRule to rewrite that to www.example.com?

Maybe I've had one to many beers tonight but I can't seem to get it to work. ;)

P.S. I've done quite a bit of searching. So far, every one seems to be running into the same type of problem I'm having....some sort of infinite loop and I've yet to come across anything that is working.

OK...well after a couple of hours of working (and probably sobering up a bit) I figured it out and got everything working.
