I have no software to promote, no ideas where to start.

Just wondering does anyone know of BETTER website analytic software or scripts for analyzing every aspect of a site. (even if it's 5 scripts, as long as it entails it all, at least most of it)

I just don't GA is the best, there MUST be something better. Any suggestions"

Urchin, now GA, really is near the top of the heap, certainly nothing *free* can compare with it.

Omniture is *excellent*, better than GA (IMHO), but they have a pretty WHOA! pricetag, but with them you get what you're paying for. Omniture has killer advanced features that are a pain to integrate, but are worth the effort just like their basic reporting is worth the money.

There are also some good log file analyzers like WebTrends, Webalizer, AwStats, which give you a fuzzy picture of your traffic.

What Analytics package you need depends what you need to know. If you're a publisher, you'll want to know page views so you can sell CPM space. If you're an affiliate marketer with SEM, you need to know ROI. If you're an e-commerce shop, you need to be able to follow average navigation path, cart abandonment and dropoff.

etc.

I'll be doing SEO and SEM reports. Any valuable information is great.

Okay, GA is the 'best free web analytics' what about paid? Top 3. I'm checking out Omiture. Thanks, keep them coming.

Omiture...how much does this stuff cost? It doesn't have any labels of prices.
