It does sound very cool - I know I'm going to have to give it a try:

The HotBot Deskbar provides instant access to the four major web search engines HotBot queries (FAST, Google, Inktomi and Teoma) without the need to visit HotBot's home page. Beyond searching HotBot, however, the Deskbar provides scads of functionality that makes it exceptionally useful as an all-around search and ready reference tool.

That does look really useful (in the abstract).

I have tried a number of these sorts of multiple tool bars before, but have always ended up removing them and reverting to Google Toolbar.

This one does seem worth a go, I'll download it and give it a couple of days to see if it stays or not!
