Problems submitting my site to Infoseek and Excite

Hi,

For months, I have been trying to get my site listed on Excite and Infoseek. To this day, I am still not on either search engines. I have searched for my URL on both search engines which have turned up with no results.

Have they stopped adding pages to their search engine or are they just totally ignoring my additions? I have been watching my log files carefully over the last month or two, and neither search engine has had a spider visiting my page.

Has anyone been able to add their site to Infoseek or Excite lately?

I've had luck getting into Excite with a bunch of new pages. Infoseek is another story altogether. Since they went to this new "domain" only setup, it has been very hard to even get a spider to visit. I'd try to get a directory listing first, and then submit to the full search engine and see what happens.
