Lycos = Gator?

My logs are showing a ton of referrals from the url http://adbuyersearch2.lycos.com

That URL looks like a Lycos URL but redirects to The Gator Corporation. I have never used nor would I ever use Gator to advertise. Is Lycos somehow passing on their results to Gator? What's the relationship there? Thanks.
