i dont see how gigablast is returning its results. If i search for my well optimised keyword im not in the first hundred. Some of the sites coming up have no title, no meta tags and fewer occurences of the word on the page as well as being lower down! Im only asking cause im waiting for google to pick up the site and if theres something ive overlooked id like to know. I have also have at this point 80 inbound links with good anchor text. On google most sites for my keyword have around 20 inbound links.

Looks to me that it's more-or-less entry sequence: first in, first listed.

In the About, first item on the to-do list is "site clustering".

Site clustering means that it would only show 1 or 2 pages from a site and not 100. Site clustering allows searchers to see a variety of sites instead of one with multiple results in the serps.

The site is still in Beta I believe, and the guy behind it posted here some time ago, and mentioned that it would take a larger data set than the current one for the link analysis portion of his algorithm to take effect.

With the way his dataset has been shuffling, and the nature of the instant indexing/ dump it all on the fly and start again, it seems it will take some tinkering indeed for the results to 'make sense'.

My recomendation to optimize for his site would be follow general stuff that will help you across the board, build up inbound links, get into DMOZ, Yahoo, keyword in the title, etc. and you should do okay when the results stabalize.

Besides, if it becomes popular before the clustering effect comes into play, you could end up on one of the lucky people who benefit :) and own the SERP you desire. Wouldn't that be fun?
