Hi, long time no see.

I think we should keep an eye on what is going on at Apple. Since a week AppleBot is having a temper tantrum on my sites. Is it used to visit 10-20 pages per hour, and now it's 6000 visits per hour, non stop all day long.

I don't know if this is to feed an AI model , or if Apple is preparing the end of its agreement with Google, or both, but something is brewing.

Hi Dimitri, good to see you here again.

Anything is possible, with Google facing Antitrust cases in courts in several regions, Apple may see an opportunity. They won't be getting the big stipend if the courts say it needs to stop. So it makes sense they could be considering something different. Hopefully more user friendly.

Hey, good to hear from you! That’s wild about AppleBot—6,000 visits per hour is next-level crawling. It definitely feels like they’re gearing up for something big, whether it’s AI training, prepping for their own search engine, or cutting ties with Google. Either way, it’s worth keeping an eye on server logs and maybe throttling their access if it’s starting to strain resources. Feels like the tech world is about to get a shake-up from Apple soon!
