DuckDuckGo has upgraded its browser and now offers to privately sync user bookmarks and passwords across devices.

Now live: Sync bookmarks, passwords, and Email Protection settings between DuckDuckGo browsers on phones, tablets, and computers, privately and securely.
Our new Sync & Backup feature is designed with your privacy and security in mind. You don’t need to create an account or sign in to use it, and DuckDuckGo never sees your bookmarks or passwords.

Safari does that too and I really don't like it. I do not sync all my devices and forcing it means I do not save any passwords. I will need to look into DDG and make sure it is optional, they are not a browser and have no business saving any passwords.

I suppose if you are one of a growing majority that use autogenerated passwords and never make note of those passwords this might be a good thing.

Then again, you are only one computer disaster away from losing all those saved autogenerated passwords you neglected to record!

That said, I don't allow third parties near my passwords. People (and machines) lie. Simple fact of life.
