DuckDuckGo's privacy Browser was recently found to be allowing Microsoft tracking scripts, [webmasterworld.com] however, it now says it'll start blocking those, too.

Over the next week, we will expand the third-party tracking scripts we block from loading on websites to include scripts from Microsoft in our browsing apps (iOS and Android) and our browser extensions (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge and Opera), with beta apps to follow in the coming month.

Doing a search on duckduckgo still results in MSN attempting to load code. FYI.

I assumed that DDG was blocking ALL trackers, isn't it their motto ?

I believe it was only blocking ALL trackers if you use the DuckDuckGo's privacy Browser in their mobile browsing apps - not just using DDG.

The date was early August when it was announced and said that feature would also be added to desktop browser extensions in the coming month - so it should be out by now. I have noticed a little pop-up recently in the browser extension.

Confirmed. The privacy is through a browser extension which sort of defeats the purpose.

On the DDG website they are still heavily partnered with microsoft. Try looking up a news topic and look at all the news articles from other sites being hosted on MSN. You literally have to include -msn.com to see the articles on their original websites.

DDG does give you privacy but not from microsoft.

Any non-chromium browser with a good blocker still works wonders, until you install the extension anyway.
