brokenwinged, I think you'd be best off sticking to the top 10 or so search engines for now. They'll be the one's bringing you 99.9% of your search engine traffic in the long run.

If it's a site you've never heard of before, it's probably not worth your time. Think about getting into places like Google, Yahoo, the Open Directory Project, and other MAJOR search engines. Then, once you've gotten into the swing of things, you can hunt around for the "little guys" if you still think it's worth the effort.
