Anyone else having trouble getting in? I've been trying for 6 weeks now.

Going by the talk in the wisenut crawl [webmasterworld.com] thread and by looking at my own logs, wisenut has not been doing a lot of crawling lately.

Ahem, if it's the site in your profile, I got the default page for the apache installation on a server.

:) The install went well, but that's all I got. Perhaps wisenut is seeing the same (unless you are referring to another site).

I finally got my site in ... it took a long time (several months), but it may as well not be there. I don't know what their algo is based on, but I don't even recognize a large majority of the sites coming up in the top 20 or so listing for various searches. I don't know if I have the energy to try to crack that "nut".

I am guessing that a paid submission to Ask or one of the others is required to rank well. Anyone know for sure? It sure isn't following the parameters of any of the other engines I am familiar with. I'll deal with it in the new year!

Jeremy, it is another site, I must have submitted 2-3 times by now; still no joy.

Mind you I've had the same problem with Fast and until a few days ago Google.

Wisenut has 53 of the 107 pages that I allow indexed for my site, but only a couple are coming up in the first couple of SERPs for my top KW.

I got in the same day I submitted when they first started, so I can't complain. Still, I agree that their algos are very strange indeed; a third level page, will come up on a search simply because of a key worded text link to the main page which is full of those words, but is being ignored.

They seem to be too busy 1 outa 10 and I'm still a bit annoyed about their mishap a few weeks ago when porno descriptions were swapped on legit websites, including mine... and left there for 4 days! When I complained, they did send an apology but it took another day to take the smutty description from my listing.
