Hound is the latest personal assistant which offers alternatives to Google Now and Apple's Siri.

Here's the thing that's important to me: is it my optimised data that's being served, besides whether it's a good assistant or not.

What do you think?

I can't answer fair, as I do not do cell phones, however:

I do have an aversion to giving any third party (and make no mistake the hound calls home and uses replies from its master) with my personal info ... likes, dislikes, queries, etc.

That said, this app has a different slant on how to get things done and I would be interested in other comments (already know the competition). I don't do cell phones, but that does not mean I know know what they are and how they work. (think the final scene with Marsden in Quiggley Down Under).

I do use cell phones, but I have removed the Siri-like assistants. On Android it's "OK Google" that I have to worry about. I have given the voice assistants a fair trial, but I don't care for the security concerns involved with having an open microphone on something that I carry with me everywhere. Also I think that people who talk to their phones look silly.

That said, a number of tech pundits have been saying nice things about Hound. Not sure I'd trust it myself.
