This may have existed for a while, but this is the first I have seen MSN [auto.search.msn.com] add paid listings at the top of their results pages, coming before their (Looksmart) directory listings. So far I've noticed this on only a few searchs, but where there's smoke there will be fire!

My searches mainly deal with the music category, and so far I have only seen Amazon and other vendors listed in these *featured sites*

"featured sites" are for big-time advertisers. last i heard, these were million dollar deals... prices may have dropped a bit, but MSN considers these its best ads, and you pay a premium for them...
