Today I found a huge number of hits from a robot that appears in my awstats as bot[+:,\.\;\/\\-] or [+:,\.\;\/\\-]bot
I looked through the logs but I couldn't find it's IP or anything
do you have any idea what could this be?

I think you probably meant to post this in Search Engine Spider and User Agent Identification [webmasterworld.com...]
It looks like your awstats is displaying the regular expression it uses to detect bots in a User Agent.

Nope, sorry, I don't use it. Try posting in Website Analytics - Tracking and Logging [webmasterworld.com...] There are quite a few Awstats users there.
