Sometime in January 2010, the French search engine kartoo.com closed down. It showed a colourful graph of websites, their linkages and related concepts. I didn't use it much but when I did, it was a pleasure to explore.

I was looking for a site that displays backlinks visually but could not.

Sorry to hear it's gone. As I think about it, I don't think there's been anything else comparable. It's hard for me to think of the web spacially without remembering Kartoo's imagery.
