After the first flurry of news reports on the launch of Cuil, site traffic soared to more than 2 million unique visitors in July, according to Compete.com. One month later, though, traffic dropped by half. By September, Cuil had 400,000 unique visitors and in March, 140,000 visitors.

It is still there and still spidering. However it is not a significant player in terms of marketshare.

Looks like they have made the layout a bit more conventional.

Its a good job that nobody is using it. I could get some serious complaints from people who believed that the icon saying "win a bottle of champagne" was put there by me.
