Anyone got any info on Gigablast ? as they have been around for years but don't seem to be that widely known and as far as I can see they don't generate that much of market share despite their technology been fast and not bad search engine wise.

Gigablast really doesn't promote themselves much but they have a lot of customers [gigablast.com] that leverage the Gigablast index and you're most likely to get traffic from the customers than your are Gigablast directly.

yeh I know people like snap use them.
shame really as Gigablast is pretty fast and their results arent bad

Here's a discussion about Matt Wells, who built the initial version of Gigablast pretty much single-handedly. The interview won't tell you much about what the engine is doing now... but you will get a sense of how it was built....
