I ran a search and noticed categories as well as search results. Are those new?
I haven't really watched WiseNet closely, but if you follow the About WISEnut link, you'll see that the category feature is described as one of their selling points:
"WISEnut has also designed an innovative way to enable users to customize search results and to empower portals to generate revenues."
I started to post some thoughts here about the WISEnut subcategories and how to use those as a tool for targeting optimization and a clue to theming... effectively a lateral search tool... but I think I'll split that off as a new post in the keywords forum... here. [webmasterworld.com]
Searching through their results pages, they do seem to have some nice relevance. Quick to display searches too, and I noticed that even some of the esoteric research stuff I usually can only find at google pops up there too. AI related fuzzy logic kind of stuff :)
Please post about submit to live time for wisenut in this thread. We'll have more compact, clear information that way. Their bot is called Zyborg, and contians WISEnut in the user agent field. Anybody have their c class or classes handy?
Today, early, I got this in my logs:

And they got some other pages, too. From the way they have run through the site, it looks like they will do a full crawl of all the pages, within 3 days of submittal.
Next we need to collect information on their updating of the database.
I would say that is excellent, though I believe the quick spidering may be from a lack of too many urls in their que. Even still, if they ever become an SE traffic wise to be reckoned with, now would be the time to get into their db.
Has anybody else experienced a quick turn around time such as this? What was the lag time between submit/spider?
