Exciting the northern light with a direct hit

Ways of getting into Excite, NL, Direct and others

I can't figure out why it is this way!

I have seen no sign of gulliver or of direct hits crawlers in my logs, and all i get from excite, is one request url verifications from a couple of bots a month.

I paid the looksmart.co.uk partners route, i am doing well with fast, google, lycos, yahoo, aol, odp and msn (regionals), except MSN.

Whats happening with excite, they just sniff around ?
No evidence of direct hit or N.Light - is there any reason, i submitted 8 weeks ago ?
Why am i listed in most of msn (regionals), but not msn or msn.ca?

Options.

Should i pay the looksmart.com partners sub maybe through either MSN or excite ?
Should i submit all off my pages, say twenty a day to anzwers.com.au and excite.com and regionals, as well as direct hit and N.Light ?
Or can anyone think of another suggestion ?

Northernlight: patience...I've heard tales of 3 week turn around, sometimes as much as 3 months.

Directhit: submit, and eventually they will come. A link in the open directory (dmoz.org) will help get you in faster, as directhit uses that data for their directory as well.
