I can confirm a title change to a LS listing and a 2 place jump in another site... but haven't been watching close enough to say it was a full blown index, rather than just an update of LS data... but it might be.

A site submitted beginning of December is now appearing, but a new one submitted after the first of the year is nowhere to be found. I believe it was around the first or second week of February.

Hi Marcia,

Just looked at my logs and two of excite's crawlers came and sniffed, one request each - great! lol

They are still at the bottom of the page, just like before.

Try this search Search engine optimization [search.excite.com].

You'll notice the same thing on Findwhat as goto: people are paying a lot for this keyword phrase.

On other searches on Excite, the listings don't show, because Findwhat has a lot less advertisers than Goto does. Hope that helps.

Thanks Jeremy!

Any ideas on who else uses findwhat besides:
excite
dogpile
??

TIA,
Spinner

[epilot.com...]
[search.searchfuel.com...]
[search.dogpile.com...]
[search.metacrawler.com...]
[ultimatesearch.com...]

Would be more appropriate in this forum [webmasterworld.com] where we talk about PPC topics (pay per click.)

That's where I got the above list, posted by Mike_Mackin. If you post there asking, I'm sure we could get a comprehensive list rolling.

I just had everybody and their brothers.excite crawl through my server. Any idea what's going on?
