is dogpile attracting more users?

I noticed a higher number of referals from dogpile than previously. Nothing has changed our end or in the results as far as we know but currently we are seeing an increase in traffic.

Are more users switching over?

Dont get me wrong, we are not talking Google, Yahoo, MSN levels but traffic is traffic all the same.

Currently Dogpile out performs Ask Jeeves (not to difficult i know) but i have been surprised all the same.

Perhaps one to watch for the future?

Based on InfoSpace's view of the future, they are certainly not expecting DogPile to do anything amazing...at least on the $ side.

I thought it was just me but I am seeing decent traffic from Dogpile in the last 3 weeks. I get none from Teoma a little from MSN, lots from Yahoo.

I receive a small but noticeable amount of traffic from
Dogpile on a monthly basis. It gives me far and away the most traffic from any of the meta search engines. I cannot say that I have noticed any measurable increase in referrals from them recently, however.

On a personal level, I rather like using it for research on my own site. It gives a handy overview in one place of results from the major search engines.

I'd never noticed Dogpile really before. Traffic from there *is* up.

What a nice little search engine! I'd forgotten what it was like to come up first for my own site name.

I as well have been getting more traffic from dogpile. I read in a newswire that they signed some new partners to distrubte their listings. Two were Wakweb.com and Websearch.com

looks like dogpile has added MSN results to its metasearch... so if you've optimimzed for MSN, that might explain the bump in dogpile traffic for you?

Makes sense, I get more traffic from MSN than Google, and have noticed a recent bump from Dogpile.
