I'm looking at Blinkx and wondered of anyone has used it and would share their experience.

At a guess, Blinkx users would be scarce on the ground since Google moved into that particular market niche with its own offering. As far as I remember, Blinkx also lost its CEO a while back.

What market are you refering?

I'm not sure whether your CEO snippet is very old or very, very new.

Mark Opzoomer, former managing director of Yahoo Europe is the new CEO. Blinkx competes with companies such as Copernic and Terra Lycos. Equally I'm not sure we're Google comes into it.

I'm really wondering if anyone has used it and would share their experience.

Desktop search.

Copernic is still a serious player. Terra Lycos does not seem to be a mainstream player, if indeed it ever was outside of Spain. With desktop search, Blinkx was always on borrowed time.

It certainly would be interesting to see if there are any Blinkx users left here and if they've run comparative tests with Google's desktop search product.
