Gigablast soon no longer a one-man show

Just noticed on the home page of Gigablast a "We're Hiring" link which leads to a page saying Gigablast is looking for a 'Software Engineer' and a 'Sales Associate'. So it looks that Matt Wells has great plans for his search engine. Unfortunately the last 2 week or so, the counter on the home page is stable at about 475 million pages, what means that no pages are spidered by Gigabot. The good news is, that the really old pages in their index (some of them last indexed on May 2002) no longer show up in the SERPs.

I've never understood GigaBlast. If they want to increase revenues display just a few Overture links on their GigaBlast.com search.

Good for Matt, and good for Gigablast ... that site's one of the "little" guys that I kinda root for. Nice to see some expansion coming soon.

Good for him, I hope all works out. I know not many use the engine, but looking at it the other day it looked better than Yahoo as far as spam, and wasn't looking bad at all.

gigablast has always been a great search engine and I never understood why VC money hasn't been thrown at it or why it hasn't been scooped up. As an underdog SE, I admit to hoping it "makes it" too.
