I may just not notice things that well but the box on amazon that used to say search and had the google logo to search their site or the web is now replaced with a9. Is this new?

Woah! It looks replaced. But, a9's privacy policy is as scary as it gets.

It's a good way of showing it to the masses. They can use the power of millions of buyers that trust the brand amazon because they give them their credit card details. I they can convert this trust into A9 it might be interresting to watch what happens.

Cool.
I agree with Thomas, good to see progress >> still waiting for their developing search engine, "Andy Vista [vista.alexa.com]" to go commercial though.

Despite the hype A9 has been getting the past month, I have yet to receive 1 single hit from them for the month of June as compared to ~20k referrals from other search engines in total.
Maybe my site stat software does not recognize it? I am not sure.
