2 domain names

Inktomi only seeing one

I have to promote a site which has 2 domains. The second domain is an old one with a frameset which wraps the new main domain.

For some reason Google etc has indexed the main domain and all the pages but any se which uses inktomi shows the old domain and all pages.

I checked the new url and inktomi has indexed the home (only) of the main domain but refuses to show it page even for a company name search.

I know he is going to ask me why he is showing on MSN for his old domain and haven't a clue what to tell him as it's been like this forever!

Any info/advice would be much appreciated!

Ink. has a site of mine in it similar to yours which has had a 301 redirect to my main domain for over a year now. It's still in the index, my main domain isn't.

at least I'm reassured that its not just me! Not that that helps us in any way :)

What would happen if a robots.txt file on the old domain prevented inktomi, do you think it would then find and start spidering the new one? I.e. kind of start from scratch!
