Hi I'm new at the forum and I would like to know if paying to get listed on FAST through this url:http://insite.lycos.com/inclusion/searchenginesubmit.asp worths the money or not.

I was very well ranked in google when I started to optimize for it, my site got PR7 and 1 to 10 place on various searches so I jumped from 1k hits or so to 4,5k but now that google seems to be mad the hits has dropped again to 1,5k or even 1k and dont know what to do, I've tried Overture and it works, but this is not for my site, its an adult site based on signups, and doesnt work for this kind of sites, so... what you about paying to be listed in lycos? they dont tell you to give you a good position but at least the site will be listed on lycos, terra, alltheweb, hotbot, overture, infospace, excite and dogpile.

Sorry for the long email and thx in advance.

Imho, none of those drive much traffic. Worry most on Google, Yahoo, and MSN...none of which get results from the FAST submit.

Also, the FAST submit is going away ;) I think they've not updated their site yet.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, btw! Thanks for posting.

with a PR7 I'd concentrate on finding some good linking partners that will help your rankings across all the engines

now my pr has dropped to 4, I dunno why, anyway, link partners... its a bit difficult to find pages with good pagerank like mine, even now with a pr 4, its a widget site, I earn money with signups, and a link that gets the visitor away.... pfff.
