Typically these types of search engines offer very little, if any, value for a web site being submitted.
In the process of submission, you are asked to provide an email address. Usually those who are submitting to these types of resources have no idea what the outcome will be.
In this case, your email address will most likely end up in various email databases that are used to send UCE (Unsolicited Commercial Email) or Spam as it is referred to.
I just thought that EntireWeb as a serious SE.
I can't say that they aren't, but on a search that I monitor on Google that returns several million pages, EntireWeb returns four (4). Can't speak for the amount of traffic. ;)
Taking a look at the privacy policy... lots of fine print, so I only skimmed... I see that they don't disclose email addresses, but they reserve the right to change their policy in the future. They don't seem to say what they themselves might do with the addresses.
My original reply was overly hasty, I should confess... I assumed from the first post that this was another of those search submission services with a search box. It's not that. They seem to have their own database. Not sure about their algo... Because of miniscule database and unlikely traffic, it's not worth the time to think about it.
I'm guessing they may be spidering ODP to get "backfill" and that the rest are paid submissions, but I did not look very carefully at this. If they were a directory with decent PageRank that was passed on to you, they might be worth the $15. Otherwise, it's your money....

Rather harsh words guys, considering they have a Privacy Policy [entireweb.com] which clearly states they don't do this.

It has its own crawler (ie it's not a metasearch site) so I would say it's a serious search engine.
What do you guys think about the search engine EntireWeb.com? They are offering express inclusion for $15. It's really cheap. But who really use their search? Would that improve ranking or being crawled by other SEs?
It's unlightly being listed will have much impact on the way other SEs crawl your site.
It may improve your rankings on metasearch engines if your site ranks well in other SEs. Ixquick.com and mamma.com, for example, ranks sites based on the number of times your site appears in the top 10 on different SEs and its ranking within the that 10.
Unless you NEED to have your site listed immediately or your site changes significantly enough to warrant being crawled every couple of days, I would save your money. Their crawler will pick up your site eventually anyway. The same is true for other PFI SEs like Inktomi.
$15 is pretty inexpensive and even if all they did was bring in a spatering of traffic seems reasonable that depending on your product/service it wil only take one sale or just a handful of sales from that traffic to be more that worth $15 ..
