any suggestions on meta search engine toolbars?

For personal use I'd recommend the Vivisimo mini bar, doesn't take up much room on your browser.

Another good one is the Metacrawler toolbar that has their meta search as well as dictionary, audio, text highlight, news ticker and image searches.
