IS reindexed this week. I saw something I can't figure out and I'm looking for an explanation.

I saw many new subpages indexed for different kw phrases I follow. All had index dates in late Feb or Mar. All were from the same company. Many different domains. Several indexed pages/domain all in the same subdirectory.

None of the index pages were (or have ever been) indexed. Checking for link:www.domain.com
or linkomain.com
or link:www.domain.com/subdirectory
brings up one of the subpages with "more results from domain.com". Click on "more results..." brings up all the subpages indexed for the domain.

If IS only accepts root domain submissions how was this done?

When I checked link:www.............
at the most a few other pages came up, all on the same domain I was checking.

But how did subpages get into the index when it only accepts root domains (for submission) and there are no root domains in the index with links to any of these subpages (for following links)?

Infoseek also allows e-mail submittal of individual page URLs. They may have gone that route instead of waiting to be spidered via their index page.
