Surprised I haven't seen this up here yet, but I just heard on CNBC that MSFT has hired Overture's former CTO.

Can't find a story or press release yet, but I'll keep looking.

You have to go straight to Reuters to see the article. The article is about MSN being split into two divisions. The CTO part is mentioned at the very end, like an afterthought- and when most news organizations pick it up, not knowing the significance of the hire, they snip it out of the story!

Better act quick because Overture has eliminated Paul Ryan from their website, and the information about him will disappear from the G cache soon.

Microsoft hired away the guy who did Delphi for Borland, and he was behind the whole C#.NET language.

Interesting.
