Excite Indexing New Submissions?

I'd like to hear from anyone who is successfully getting indexed by Excite. I have submitted a number of pages (2-4 a day) to Excite over the last few months, but none have been indexed.

Then, perhaps as a cruel joke, Excite decided to visit my site and index a small amount of pages which are outdated, and have no links to them, I have no idea how the spider got to them, I certainly didn't submit any of them, nor did I submit any pages with links to them.

Does anyone know what Excite does with dynamic pages (specifically, ones with a "?" in the URL)? I have been submitting both dynamic and static, but nothing has been getting listed.

Another question. As a SE newbie, I was wondering if I should submit to both WebCrawler and Excite, or just one. And if just one, then which one? I would greatly appreciate any guidance.

Excite is the master index so just submit to that one. Latest news on WebCrawler is that its index is full and will not be adding any more submissions at this time. You will need link popularity to rank well on Excite, forget doorways. Architext also will spider your entire site eventually so just submit the home page with links to a sitemap or directly to the other pages you want indexed. Best thing to do to avoid frustration with Excite is to submit a well written site that stays on topic, sit back and "fuhget about it!"
