Linkshare impressions

Different from site statistics

I'm sure this question has probably been asked before, but if someone will point me to the answer or provide a quick response, it will be appreciated.

The reports provided by Linkshare show a much lower number of impressions than my site statistics show visitors to a page. What causes this?

Are you sure you have the impression tag on your links? Many affiliate stipped those off so they worked with less code and to improve page load time.
