I just recently acquired a site that gets 30,000 page views on average per day. The site deals with celebrity news etc.
What's the best way to commercialize it? I've had CJ ads on there, and out of thousands and thousands of impressions no sales. I've had AdSense on there, but they display terrible ads with very little payout per click.
What are some good ad networks that could help me commercialize the site based on the entertainment industry content?

Take a look at what other sites in that niche are doing, and try their best ideas. A certain database of movies on the Internet seems to mostly push Amazon links (which suggests to me that there is considerable room for improvement). But they integrate the Amazon links quite well and quite aggressively, in a variety of ways.
I've thought about making a 'store' for each celebrity on the site that would have links to posters, cds, books etc but I'm not sure how well that would do.
The CTR is much higher then Adsense, the PPC prices are much higher (and you can check them, too)
I think you would be approved for an Overture contract but you might be put in a que line where you'd have to wait a little while.
Thanks for the advice. I applied to Ah-Ha (which is now called extreme.com) and checked out Overture, but from what I read it only accepts sites that have 30 million page views a month! I average about 1.5 mil.
I'm trying to finding either good products that can make some extra money on commissions, or good payouts like CPM payouts. I'm trying a couple out (Max Online and pay-popup.com) but it seems as if they don't register every impression properly. Google Adsense will show 36,000 impressions, but Max will only show like 3,000 though they appear on the same pages.
Any other recommendations? Thanks for all the tips so far.
It is european so i don't know if it will do what you are after but you never know.
