I was going over my wifes credit card statement and found about $300 worth of goods from linkshare and cj merchants. I tolder that I need to teach her how to create affiliate links and click on them before buying.

Her response: "If you would just rank higher, it wouldn't be a problem".

Hehe... Hope someone here got the commissions.

Most of the affiliates out there have a minimum payout system to curb this.

Most of the time your going through merchant networks, so minimum payments aren't a problem :)

Just did this yesterday...bought through my own affiliate link. 50% savings and now I'm going to get a nice check too! :) Not bad for something I needed in the first place.

I try to always buy through one of my affiliate links. Really saves on my webhosting. If you're gonna buy it anyway, you might as well get a commission. Now I better show my wife ;)

Recently purchasing electrical and baby (yes just acquired one) stuff, affiliate links worked out to be a nice fat £150 back.... lots of beer money!

The only problem is sometimes getting approved for some programmes - so apply well in advance for something specific.
