I'm not sure how I want to approach this and am looking for suggestions.

During a month long awareness campaign we are trying to get a poster hung in identified places across the world. There is a list of thousands of places identified as ideal to hang the poster.

I'd like to create a list where a user can see areas near them that have not hung up the poster yet so they can print the poster, hang it themselves, and somehow check the places off.

What would be awesome if somehow the user can post a picture of it hung up at a location and post it on Facebook or Twitter (to increase awareness among their friends who might go to the website to hang the poster up near them).

I was thinking of just a straight, one-page, html document and an email address with someone editing the html when they get the info by email. But then I thought of maybe doing a Google Docs spreadsheet and integrating that document into a web page.

This awareness campaign is on a shoestring budget and the website is not the end goal but a temporary and functional site to keep track of all these thousands of places.

How would you approach this?
