WebmasterWorld Newsletter
Google's been making many SEO's pretty busy these days with the Penguin
update, and their Disavow Tools. The Google Penguin Updates were introduced to
help Google tackle what it describes as webspam (mostly around link building
tactics). Typically, so-called black-hat marketing could put a site at risk from
a Penguin penalty. Unfortunately, Penguin is also affecting sites that appear to
have, as Google describes it, “unnatural links.” These are links that may have
been acquired legitimately in the past, but are now tripping filters in Penguin.
How do you know if you have a Penguin penalty? Our forums are full of webmasters
discussing the topic, and you can find some of the latest linked in this
newsletter. Enjoy some of the hottest topics from this past month in
WebmasterWorld.
I'm looking forward to chatting with you in the forums,
I'm Feeling Lucky,
Jim Boykin
