ok, i asked my web admins to help me with something...

to set my "non-www" domain to 301 permanent re-direct to "www.example.com"

now, they came back and said on our IIS 6 server that we do not have a "non-www" domain. ?!?!

now, when i type: http://example.com it give me a 302 temporary re-direct, and actually re-directs to: http://www.example.com/index.asp

how could that be?

is there a setting deeper that needs to be adjusted? i dont see how if there is not a "non-www" domain, how its getting re-directed?
