Hello,

Does anyone know what the implications are for PR flow if a publisher uses target="_blank"> (or any other variation) when they link to your site? Is PR diluted? Does it interfere with how googlebot views the link? Your feedback is appreciated.

I believe the target tags have no effect on the normal PR flow.

PR still flows. It only causes the click on the link to launch a new browser/window for the target site.

I agree with Zydo, the anchor tag attribute for target tells the web browser where the link is to be opened and in no way interferes with the PR.

target="_blank" has no bearing on PageRank.
