Recently we have been getting click-bombed. We see patterns in the logs, though no solutions yet available on our side that we can use to prevent the clicks from happening. We have informed Google of the issue with sample data we have, but have had no response, and have worked with them for many years with 4 to 5 figure dollar returns monthly, even with ups and downs. This happened once before for several days and Google corrected it. It was not being corrected in this case.
Should ads be left up or taken down since no viable solution has been found for preventing the "back-door" entry to a basic site? I cannot provide too many details here, but wonder if anyone uses PHP to set conditionals to display ads based upon incoming info patterns from thousands of unique non-sequential DNSs that would take many, many days to find and deny one-by-one? Using GA, we are sure we have identified, but those guilty DNSs seem to be being being used themselves by bots attaching themselves to their sites (not sure if they are aware).
