wonder if blogger is next.

[support.google.com...]

Some important changes are coming to AdSense on Google Sites. By August 30, 2013, it will no longer be possible to make updates to AdSense on any of your Google Sites.

For now, that's just for Google Sites. Doubtful they'll do anything with Blogger, as there are millions of bloggers using the platform, but who knows. They did scrap Reader after all, so with Google anything is possible I guess.

The title of the page, "Sunsetting AdSense" sure sounds ominous. Maybe the end for the program is near? Hope not, but if so, thanks Google for giving the little guy a way to make some money for a decade. At times, it's even been fun!

Why would they do that?

Are they getting ready to "sunset" "Google Sites"?

Maybe it's riddled with spam, though hard to believe it would be worse than Blogger.

But more likely it's more trouble than it's worth. Google's doing a lot of that lately. Wouldn't surprise me at all if they dumped Sites, or rolled it into Blogger.

I wish they would roll Sites into Blogger and integrated the two. That would make for a solid, user-friendly off-the-shelf CMS.
