Happy Birthday AdSense
AdSense is turning eight years old tomorrow! Growing to over two million publishers worldwide since our launch in 2003, we want to thank all of you for helping us expand and thrive.
As we celebrate AdSense, we want to share our appreciation for all the AdSense publishers whose innovation has made the last eight years so successful. The Google Display Network is comprised of many AdSense publishers like you: those who offer useful and engaging content for your community and serve as an effective channel for advertisers to connect with audiences.

I signed up for Adsense in July, 2003, so it's almost 8 years for me - much longer than I held any job.
Thanks, Adsense

Right around 7 and a half years ago for me -- a few months, in fact, after I graduated from secondary school. The golden years.

Happy birthday, Adsense!

Good point leanord0! Same for me by a long chalk.

Whatever Adsense is today for some, for me it has enabled me to kick the big boss into the long grass several years ago. And for that I am endlessly thankful, truly thankful.

Thanks Adsense, but beware. Others are on your tail and I am well aware that both Adsense and myself have no loyalties to past performance. The future is all that really counts.

And if comments at Webmasterworld are any indication, AdSense is getting worse all the time. Every SINGLE MONTH brings lower payout to publishers. 8 years = 96 months and EVERY MONTH IS WORSE THAN THE PREVIOUS MONTH. I'm not even sure how that is possible, but if you read Webmasterworld, that's the impression you get. 96 straight months of decline. Nobody ever says their income has gone up.

Yes they do! Unfortunately, I'm not one of those folks but trust me, they're here (and giving hope to me and countless others day-after-day-after-day too!).

Ok, thanks for the calculation. As I'm seeing no decline whatsoever and knowing I'm doing roughly 1000 per month with them I must reach my first 100K with Adsense pretty soon ;).

I say it all the time. Year to date, I'm at 180% of 2010.

hmm, I guess I was a late-comer, didn't start until February 2004.

And, yes, I'm quite happy with my AdSense income.

Just for fun, I checked today on how much total I have made ... its an astounding number considering I just have a hobby site, and the goal was just to make it pay for itself.

Been with AdSense since the beginning here too and it has only got better and increased for me.

Happy b'day, AdSense! May you have many more! :)

I started back in Feb '05 with an astounding 3 bucks for that month. Since then, its been a rocket ride. No complaints, none at all.

Happy Birthday AdSense!

I started in 2004. While my earnings are modest compared to many on this board, they are much more than I'd ever imagined I'd make from the AdSense program. Thanks Google for being the first search engine to share the wealth with the 'little guy' -- something Yahoo!, Microsoft, Alta Vista, Excite etc. never did.

Our income is up, and we are doing well, in part thanks to some of the suggestions we've gotten from Adsense itself and from other webmasters. All in all, it's been a great ride, and I hope it continues!
