Antitrust Chief Says Other Google Behavior Should Concern Authorities

Many aspects of Google Inc.'s corporate practices are of concern, the European Union's antitrust chief Joaquín Almunia said Friday, and a final decision needs to made on the negotiated settlement over their search engine business.

"Above and beyond competition law, other aspects of Google's behavior can give rise to concerns," he said. "Tax optimization, collecting personal data, and the use of others' intellectual property" are just a few issues that "should probably be on the agenda of public authorities," he added
