PC Mag reports [pcmag.com], from the original article and interview in the San Jose Mercury [mercurynews.com]:

The Larry Page regime lost its first big hitter Monday in Jonathan Rosenberg, Google's chief of product development. Rosenberg is reportedly planning to leave the search giant in the coming months due to Page's demand for multi-year commitments to Google from senior executives.

Page had asked his senior executives to make long-term, multiyear commitments to remain at the company. Rosenberg said in an interview with the Mercury News that he decided he could not make that commitment, given his long-held plans to leave the company around the time his daughter goes to college in 2013.
